Dental License Renewal Bundle For First Time Renewal ONLY

4 hours

If you are newly licensed and renewing your license for the first time, you are only required to complete 2 hours on Prescribing Controlled Substances and 2 hours on HIV/AIDS.

This course will award 4 continuing education hours.

Course Objectives

  1. Discuss prevention techniques HIV/Aids.
  2. Identify symptoms of HIV/Aids.
  3. Understand the role of and implement the use of personal protective equipment to prevent or reduce the risk of occupational exposure in the oral healthcare setting.
  4. Understand the role and implement appropriate hand hygiene
  5. Understand the role of and implement environmental infection control to provide a safer work environment.
  6. Understand the importance of post-exposure follow-up and associated policies and practices to reduce the risk of post-exposure infection.
  7. Discuss safe prescribing of controlled substances.

  • Course Completion Information: To earn continuing education credit, professionals must register and pay the fee for the course.  They must read the content and demonstrate understanding by earning a minimum score of 70 percent on testing materials.  The certificate of completion will be able to be downloaded after the above is completed.
