Mental Health and Legal Issues for Children and Adolescent

Young people can have mental, emotional, and behavioral problems that are real, painful, and costly. These problems, often called “disorders,” are sources of stress for children and their families, schools, and communities.

This course will explore the mental health disorders most commonly diagnosed in children and adolescent. We will also explore the Florida statutes that pertain to the evaluation and treatment of this population.

This course will award 1 continuing education hours.  Please see board approval information below.
