Nutrition and Dental Health
This course is intended to provide awareness and understanding of the connection between good nutrition and its impact on oral health. We will explore dietary guidelines, major nutrients, dietary implications in periodontal disease, the life cycle of the dental patient, factors in the dental caries process and nutritional counseling for the dental patient.
This course will award 4 continuing education hours.

- Explain the different impacts that food can have on teeth and gums.
- Discuss what a good diet should incorporate.
