Peer Support in Mental Health and Substance Abuse
This course provides a thorough exploration of peer support as a transformative approach within mental health and substance use facilities. Participants will learn the foundational principles of peer support, including personal advocacy, engagement strategies, recovery and resiliency frameworks, community-building, and the ethical use of shared life experiences. This course blends current best practices, real-world case studies, and practical tools for implementing and sustaining effective peer support programs.
