Cultural and Linguistic CRPS
This comprehensive course is designed to enhance cultural competence and communication in diverse environments. Participants will explore culturally appropriate oral and written language services, engage in bilingual and bicultural training, and develop skills in personal and organizational cultural competence. The curriculum also covers diversity knowledge, assessment strategies, and the application of cross-cultural frameworks. T

- Recognize and appreciate the importance of culturally appropriate oral and written language services and understand the impact of cultural nuances on communication and service delivery in diverse settings.
- Gain proficiency in at least one language other than one’s native language, focusing on both oral and written forms, and develop an understanding of the cultural contexts in which the second language is spoken to enhance effective communication across cultural boundaries.
- Assess personal cultural competence and develop strategies for improvement, while also understanding and enhancing organizational cultural competence within various institutional settings.
- Explore the dimensions of diversity beyond ethnicity, including age, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, and disability, and learn to conduct and apply diversity assessments in organizational contexts to foster an inclusive environment.
- Study and apply various theoretical and practical frameworks for understanding and navigating cross-cultural interactions, and use these frameworks to improve personal and professional interactions in a multicultural and globalized context.
- Engage in practical exercises that simulate real-world scenarios requiring the application of skills learned, and reflect critically on these experiences to identify lessons learned and areas for further development.
