Refresher on Medical Emergencies For Dental Professionals

This course will serve as a refresher on what a first responder is, how they are protected, what constitutes a medical emergency, what to do for many common emergencies, how medical emergencies should be transported, advice on psychological trauma, and the emotional toll on responders themselves.

This course will award 4 continuing education hours.

Course Objectives

  1. Identify first responders.
  2. Recognize the signs of a medical emergency.
  3. Begin response efforts in the face of a medical emergency.
  4. Explain the toll of a medical emergency on the victim and the responder.
