The Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TCADA) is the principal regulatory authority overseeing substance abuse treatment and prevention efforts within the state. Established to enhance the quality and effectiveness of substance abuse treatment services, TCADA operates with the goals of ensuring access to high-quality treatment, reducing substance abuse-related harm, and promoting recovery and wellness.
