This course will explore the Florida Statue 466 and Florida Administrative Code (64B-27) govern Florida Dental Laboratories.

This course meets the requirement for mandatory continuing education in laws & rules for Florida Dental Laboratories.

This course will award 1 continuing education hour.

Course Objectives

  1. Understand the role of dental laboratories and dental technicians.
  2. Discuss the laws and rules that govern Dental Laboratories and Dental Technicians.
  3. Understand the regulations for certificates and licensing for dental laboratories.
  4. Explain and be able to complete the continuing education requirements for dental laboratory staff.
  5. Describe the laws concerning dental laboratory inspections.
  6. Understand the prescription requirements from dentists who refer to dental laboratories and how long these must be kept on file.
  7. Be able to operate within the advertising regulations.
