Topics covered include submitting clean claims, understanding the financial implications of registration errors, coding, diagnosis and medical necessity, as well as effective documentation practices.

1. Understand the Importance of Clean Claims: Participants will learn to identify and address common errors that lead to claim denials or delays, ensuring the submission of clean claims to optimize reimbursement processes.
2. Analyze Financial Impacts of Registration Errors: Participants will explore case studies and scenarios to assess how registration errors affect revenue streams and operational efficiency within Substance Abuse treatment facilities.
3. Apply Coding and Diagnosis Skills: Participants will practice applying ICD-10 coding guidelines specific to Substance Abuse disorders, ensuring accurate code selection to reflect patient diagnoses and treatment modalities effectively.
4. Evaluate Medical Necessity Criteria: Participants will examine criteria for establishing medical necessity in Substance Abuse treatment, including documentation requirements and regulatory standards, to support claim submissions.
