Florida Laws and Rules for Nursing
This course will explore Chapters 456 and 464 of the Florida Statutes and the rules in Title 64B9 of the Florida Administrative Code in order to prepare nurses to practice.
Course Objectives
- Maintain expected levels of continuing education necessary to hold a nursing license in the state of Florida.
- Prepare for the nursing registration and licensure process in the state of Florida.
- Identify documentation standards required of nurses in the state of Florida.
- Describe professional standards regarding drug misuse or abuse in the state of Florida.
- Demonstrate awareness of the change in processing for the CE required to re-license for Florida nurses.
- Discuss the upcoming 2015 requirement of 2-hours CE pertaining to Florida Nursing Law.
