Fire Safety
Fire is a severe threat to any healthcare facility. Many clients have special needs that make them especially vulnerable in a fire emergency, thus increasing the risk of fire casualties. Healthcare staff must make every effort to prevent fires from starting and must be prepared to respond if a fire breaks out.
Course Objectives
- Learn effective strategies for reducing the risk of fires.
- Discuss how to keep employees and clients safe by responding to fire hazards.
- Identify the type of extinguisher to use for the type of fire.

- Course Completion Information: To earn continuing education credit, professionals must register and pay the fee for the course. They must read the content and demonstrate understanding by earning a minimum score of 70 percent on testing materials. The certificate of completion will be able to be downloaded after the above is completed. Refunds will be granted upon request with the withdrawal of credit for the course.
