Abuse Reporting in Colorado

This course will explore the requirements for reporting child and vulnerable abuse in Colorado. The course will list who mandated reporters are, when a report is warranted, and how to make the report when necessary. We will explore the timeline for reporting and the procedures that must occur.

 

This course will award 1 continuing education hour.

  1. Identify the signs and symptoms of abuse of children and/or the elderly.
  2. Identify who is mandated to report suspected abuse.
  3. Identify what information is needed to make a report.
  4. Discuss the Colorado legislation regarding reporting abuse.

  • Course Completion Information: To earn continuing education credit, professionals must register and pay the fee for the course.  They must read the content and demonstrate understanding by earning a minimum score of 70 percent on testing materials.  The certificate of completion will be able to be downloaded after the above is completed. Refunds will be granted upon request with the withdrawal of credit for the course.
