Florida Certification Board Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) Initial Application Content Specific Training Bundle

CERTIFICATION INFORMATION:

The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) is a professional credential awarded by the Florida Certification Board for people who provide services to individuals with substance use conditions. BaysideCEU does not award the certification. We offer all of the necessary content-specific training as one of the requirements for applying to the board.

The CAC is an intermediate practice credential for people who work side-by-side with clinical staff to provide services to individuals with substance use conditions.

Beyond these 300 hours of content-specific training you receive from BaysideCEU, an applicant also needs between 2,000 and 6,000 hours of work experience and between 100 and 300 hours of on-the-job supervision, prorated based on the highest level of formal education. The applicant also needs an FCB-approved qualified supervision and a Florida Certification Board exam.  Please see the Florida Certification Board’s website for full application requirements.
