Florida Certification Board Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) Initial Application Content Specific Training Bundle

The Certified Recovery Peer Specialist is a professional credential awarded by the Florida Certification Board for people who use their lived experience and skills learned in training to help others achieve and maintain recovery and wellness from mental health and/or substance use conditions. BaysideCEU does not award the certification. We offer all of the necessary content-specific training as one of the requirements for applying to the board. The CRPS is an intermediate practice credential for people who work side-by-side with clinical staff to provide services to individuals with substance use conditions. Beyond this 32 hours of content-specific training you receive from BaysideCEU, an applicant also needs at least 8 hours of Whole Health training.  Please see the Florida Certification Board website for WRAP and WHAM programs that meet this requirement.  In addition, an applicant will need hours of work experience and between 500 hours of supervised work and/or volunteer experience.  At least 250 hours must be specific to providing peer support to others with similar lived experiences. 16 hours of FCB-approved qualified supervision and a Florida Certification Board exam.  Please see the Florida Certification Board’s website for full application requirements. This course will award 32 continuing education hours covering the CRPS content-specific domains.
