Abuse Reporting in Tennessee
This course will explore the requirements for reporting child and elder abuse in Tennessee. We will look at which professionals are required to report. We will explore the timeline for reporting and the procedures that must take place.
This course will award 1 continuing education hour.

- Identify the signs and symptoms of abuse of children and/or the elderly.
- Identify who is mandated to report suspected and known abuse.
- Identify how to make contact with the Department of Human Services – Child Services and Adult Protective Services.
- Identify what information is needed to make a report.
- Discuss the Tennessee legislation regarding reporting abuse.
