The Florida Board of CSW, MFT, & MHC Requirements:

The Florida Board of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling requires Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) to complete:

30 Total CE Hours + Core Requirements:

  • Every renewal: 2 hours of Preventing Medical Errors in Behavioral Health
  • Alternating requirement each renewal: 3 hours of Ethics & Boundaries or 3 hours of Teletherapy/Telemental Health
  • Every 3rd renewal: 2 hours of Domestic Violence and 3 hours of Florida Laws & Rules
  • Every 3rd renewal for qualified supervisors: 4 hours of Qualified Supervisor Training

Deadline: All CEs must be completed by March 31st of every odd-numbered year.
